The University of Southern Mindanao President Francisco Gil N. Garcia, PhD, together with some heads of different offices of the University, gathered the twenty-one (21) USM graduates who are beneficiaries of the cash-for-work program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on August 1, 2024, at the USM Administration Lobby, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.

During the meeting, the President reminded the beneficiaries to work like government employees as they stay in the institution. He emphasized punctuality for them to observe. “You should learn the value of what it is to be a government employee.” He highlighted.

After the orientation, the beneficiaries proceeded to their respective offices for briefing and work assignments. 

According to Ma. Leida M. Donque, EdD, the Director of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), there were five hundred (500) beneficiaries in the province who were also assigned to the Local Government Units (LGUs) and schools of the Department of Education (DepEd) in the province of Cotabato.
