The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) visited the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) to conduct the National Quality Assessment Team (NQAT) Evaluation for the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) of the Veterinary Technology program on July 23-24, 2024, at the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Accreditation Room, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato. 

As a result, the Vet Tech Program of CVM complied with all the necessary areas in the evaluation with only one (1) minor and doable non-compliant area. 

Dr. Daniel A. Rodriguez and Dr. Jose Alexander Abella, Technical Committee for Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) members, led the evaluation. In addition, Dr. Genaro R. Andres from CHEDRO XII and Ms. May De Mesa-Zapanta from CHED Central Office were present in the activity. 

Prof. Marcos Moderin, the OIC – Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), along with the CVM Faculty cooperated for the success of the activity.

USM’s national program evaluation and related activities are spearheaded by the University Quality Assurance Center (UQAC) headed by its director, Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente.
