CFCST Connects with USM: Sharing Narratives, Strengthening PR  

The University of Southern Mindanao, through the University Public Relations and Information Office (UPRIO), welcomed the delegates from the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST) for a benchmarking activity on April 24, 2024.   

The UPRIO team, headed by its director, Prof. Vilma M. Santos, presented the different platforms managed and utilized by the office for information dissemination and public engagement.   

Moreover, UPRIO introduced its partner offices to wit, the University Information Communication and Technology Office (UICTO), the University Multimedia and Production Center (UMPC), and the DXVL 94.9 Kool FM Radio Station. Discussed during the visit were the best practices and the contribution of each office to UPRIO.  Additionally, the team visited the University Gender and Development Office.

Further, the CFCST delegation, as the newly opened office through the implementation of ROSSSS (Revised Organizational Structure and Staffing Standards for SUCs), expressed its gratitude for the experience and the favor of sharing how the office delivers the tasks.   

The activity highlighted the significance of strengthening collaboration in the community as CFCST is a sister institution of USM founded by the same lady educator, Bai Hadja Fatima Matabay N. Plang.
