DA-PCC at USM Celebrates 29th Founding Anniversary, Dr. Atok reassures transformation

Guided by its theme, “𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙜𝙤 𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙤 𝙨𝙖 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙝𝙖𝙬𝙖, 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙜, 𝙖𝙩 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙜 𝙣𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙣”, the Department of Agriculture- Philippine Carabao Center at University of Southern Mindanao (DA-PCC at USM) celebrated its 29th Founding Anniversary on January 30, 2024, at DA-PCC at USM Compound, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.

During the program, former Director Benjamin John C. Basilio turned over the key of responsibility to Dr. Geoffray R. Atok, the new center director of the DA-PCC at USM.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Atok emphasized the transformation and innovations in the programs and projects of PCC under his leadership and highlighted that PCC at USM will continue to collaborate with its partners in the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and government agencies in the region. “𝙏𝙤 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣 𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙖𝙣, 𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣 𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙤.” He stressed.

As the keynote speaker, the USM President Francisco Gil N. Garcia said that the anniversary is a reminder to be grateful of our past and hope to our future. He challenged PCC of the plastic waste reduction, strengthen artificial insemination programs, and build stronger partnerships with its technicians and stakeholders. “𝘼𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙮𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙠𝙤𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙙 𝙖𝙮 𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙠𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚, 𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙤 𝙥𝙤 𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖 𝙙𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙡 𝙨𝙖 𝙞𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙣.” He ended.

The event was participated by the provincial veterinarians, municipal agriculturists, chairmen and managers of different PCC-assisted cooperatives and associations, Artificial Insemination (AI) technicians, and USM dignitaries and employees.
