USM manages four peer-reviewed journals

To increase its visibility in the area of research, the University of Southern Mindanao is expanding opportunities for publication and dissemination of research findings. The Journal of Agricultural Research, Development, Extension and Technology (JARDET) was launched in 2019 and by 2023, successfully released its fifth volume. Looking ahead to 2024, the University is poised to launch three additional journals, each with its targeted maiden volume to broaden the coverage of research beyond agriculture and agricultural extension.

The new journals are as follows: Studies in Natural and Applied Sciences (SNAPS) under the College of Science and Mathematics; the Journal of Business, Economics and Governance Studies (JBEGS) under the College of Business, Development Economics and Management; and the Journal of Education and Community Development (JECD) under the Graduate School.
