Seven faculty members from various colleges of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) officially took their oath as full-fledged professors in a ceremony led by USM OIC President Dr. Rody P. Garcia on February 10, 2025, at the Office of the President, Administration Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
The promotion process followed the university’s Merit Selection Plan, utilizing the Dynamic Candidates Assessment System (DYCAS) and the Productivity and Results-Oriented Framework for Evaluating Sustained and Impactful Scholarship (PROFESS). These evaluation systems, developed by the Human Resource Development and Management Office, ensured a thorough assessment of candidates’ qualifications.
The newly appointed professors are:
- Prof. Marcos F. Monderin
- Dr. Lawrence Anthony U. Dollente
- Dr. Lydia C. Pascual
- Dr. Krizler C. Tanalgo
- Dr. Maricel G. Dayaday
- Dr. Lothy F. Casim
- Dr. Angelo R. Agduma
Their selection was based on a comprehensive evaluation of their abilities, aspirations, and engagement, as well as their individual and collective contributions to academic excellence. The criteria also included leadership, strategic planning, client engagement, performance measurement, knowledge management, and human resource development.
Through these dedicated educators, the university remains committed to fostering academic excellence by recognizing and promoting outstanding faculty members.
