USM academic programs to be accredited to higher levels
Eleven academic programs of the University will be evaluated by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on August 8-12, 2011 . This is in pursuit of excellence of educational programs based on an analysis of its merits. Results will be a rational basis for budgetary requests, selection of Center of Excellence (COEs) and Center of Development (CODs), and for SUCs leveling.
The USM Faculty Association launched new business projects in the sale of souvenir items such asT-shirts, soaps, food supplements, food items and USM souvenirs like mugs, key chains at reasonable prices. The venture started during the Mindanao Association of State Colleges and Universities Foundation (MASCUF) celebration in February 2011 at the University to meet the demand from other universities for USM souvenir items.
